How the Tour works
The Tour of the Gothic Quarter and the Picasso Museum enables participants to learn about the city's history through its architecture, its art and the Catalan gastronomic culture. As you stroll through the streets of the Gothic Quarter you will be able to see how the Roman Empire left its mark on the architecture and the same applies to the medieval period with traces of every epoch of history up to the 20th century. The famous figure of Pablo Picasso also played a notable part in the history of this magical city in the 20th century. Inside the museum dedicated to the artist's works which is located in the Born district of the city, more than 4000 works by the celebrated artist have been preserved and can be viewed on this guided tour. After the guided tour of the museum's interior, you will be able to explore the famous market of El Born where there will be a stop to find out about some of the typical culinary delights of a Catalan breakfast. If you like savory things, you can try some bread with cheese or with chorizo or, on the other hand, if you prefer something sweet for your breakfast, you can try a croissant of one of the famous "Ensaimadas" which is a typical type of pastry.
