Tickets to the Gaudi House Museum
Exterior of the Gaudí House Museum, Barcelona

This is a small but cozy museum with original furniture and is situated right inside the free area at Park Güell, just before the entrance to the main area.

Description

Antoni Gaudí's home for many years was the Gaudi's Palace which is situated in the center of Barcelona right between La Rambla and the Neighborhood of Raval. In 1906, he decided to move to this delightful small house which is situated within the confines of the vast Park Güell. This was his home for some 20 years until his last move to the Sagrada Familia. Initially, he lived in the park with his father and his niece and then in later years, he lived on his own.  Perhaps due to loneliness but also because of his passion for the project under development, he decided to leave the house in the park in order to move into the offices at the Sagrada Familia, so that he could follow the construction closely without having to move.  The Gaudí House Museum displays the Catalan artistic evolution through the exhibition of objects and personal furnishings and also demonstrates the most intimate aspects of the artist's life through visiting the most private rooms in the house.
